You Must:

 

Admit that you are a sinner.

 

Romans 3:23 

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

 

Romans 5:12

"Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, in this way death spread to all people, because all sinned."

Believe that Jesus died on the cross for you.

 

Romans 5:8

"But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

 

1 Peter 2:24

"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree; so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed."

 

Colossians 1:14

"In him we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins."

 

Acts 16:31

"They said, 'Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved ​-- ​you and your household.'"

Confess your sinfulness to God, turn from it and Call on Jesus Christ through prayer.

 

Romans 10:9-10

"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation."

 

Romans 10:13

"For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

 

When you place your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, you now have a relationship with Him.
